Copper Falls Cascading Fountain (No. SS5312)
Your Design Toscano Copper Falls Cascading Fountain has been crafted to provide you with
years of pleasure, indoors or out. Please follow these steps to ensure that your fountain
continues to run problem-free.
Cleaning
As needed, but at least every three months (depending on location indoors or outdoors),
perform the following simple steps:
1. Unplug the fountain pump.
2. Remove the decorative rocks from the top of the basin and clean them by rinsing and/or
scrubbing them with hot water.
3. Remove the copper leaf unit from the basin and clean the inside of the leaf cups using a
non-abrasive cloth and hot water.
4. Remove the pump from the bottom of the copper leaf unit and clean with hot water. In
the process, remove the front portion of the pump casing at the intake and clean the
impeller area of the pump. Put the front portion of the pump back onto the pump when all
parts are cleaned and reattach the pump tubing to the bottom of the copper leaf unit.
5. Remove the old water from the fountain basin.
6. Clean the inside of the basin using hot water and a non-abrasive brush or cloth.
7. Reassemble the fountain, fill with clean water and plug in the pump.
Winter
In cold weather climates, ice must never be allowed to form in the fountain or basin as it may
cause cracking or deterioration. Our recommendation is to drain the fountain and secure it in a
dry, indoor location for the winter. You may also wish to run the fountain indoors for the winter,
where it will help to humidify the air. In this case, please make sure your floor is protected in the
event of any splash from the running water.
