CHECKING THE CLUTCH
ASSEMBLY
- Check the clutch drive hub:
1.Scratching on the castellations;
2.Play in the rivets and silent-
blocks attaching to the gearing;
3.Condition of the bearing turning
on the primary shaft.
- If major damage is observed, repla-
ce the clutch hub.
- Check for scratching and chipping
on the bearing surface of the discs;
if damage is found, replace the part.
- Check the drive plate assembly and
the axial needle bearing, and repla-
ce any damaged parts.
- Check the free length of the spring,
and replace the part if it is longer
than the service limit.
Service Limit: 30 mm.
- Using a square, check the spring for
parallelism. Replace the spring in
the event that it is deformed.
