3. Starter motor
- Connect the positive terminal of the battery (1) and the
starter motor cable (2), using a bridging conductor (3) on
the relay (4) as shown in the figure.

4. Starter relay
- Disconnect the starter relay connection from the electri-
cal system.
- Connect the battery to the starter relay, using bridging
connectors (1).
DOES NOT TURN OVER
Defective starter relay – replace.

Defective starter motor – repair or replace.
- Check starter motor functioning.
Check starter motor functioning.
WARNING
THE CONDUCTOR USED FOR BRIDGING
MUST HAVE A CAPACITY COMPATIBLE
WITH THAT OF THE STARTER MOTOR. IF
NOT, THE MOTOR MAY BURN OUT.
WARNING
TAKE CARE NOT TO REVERSE THE BATTERY
CONNECTIONS, OR DAMAGE MAY BE
CAUSED TO THE DIODE TAKE CARE NOT
TO CAUSE A SHORT CIRCUIT BETWEEN
THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE TERMINALS
WHEN CONNECTING THE BATTERY AND
THE RELAY.
