Note, however, that discs with special shapes (heartshaped discs, hexagonal discs, etc.) cannot be played on the ADV-500SD. Do not attempt to play such discs, as they may damage the player. Holding Discs • Be especially careful not to scratch discs when removing them from their cases. • Do not bend discs. • Do not heat discs.

ENGLISH 12 SURROUND MODE OFF Each time the SURROUND button is pressed, the surround mode is changed as follows : Select the appropriate surround mode according to the program source.
ENGLISH 13 PLAYBACK OTHER SURROUND HALL When playing recordings of live music, this mode provides a feeling similar to actually being in a concert hall. When this mode is selected, the normal program source is directed to the main speakers and a reverberated sound is directed to the surround speakers. This mode is suited to program sources which contain a large amount of reverberation. 2 To check the currently surround settings, etc. Press the STATUS button on the remote control unit.
ENGLISH MP3/WMA When an MP3/WMA disc is loaded, the recorded directories will be shown on the screen. Select a directory by pressing the / buttons and press the “ENTER” button. A list of track numbers and titles(file names) will be shown on the right side of the screen. Select a track and press the “ENTER” button or the PLAY button. Playback will start from the selected track.
