Featuring the same high quality styling and finish, the DCD-50
is the perfect partner for the PMA-50 digital integrated ampli-
fier. The compact chassis features deluxe finishes including soft
aluminum matte with bright silver tone accents and glossy and
matte black surfaces.
Versatile Disc Playback
The DCD-50 plays music CDs and can also play data CDs, in-
cluding CD-R and CD-RW discs with MP3 and WAV audio tracks.
Vertical or Horizontal Placement
When desktop or shelf space is at a premium, the DCD-50 can be
vertically positioned alongside or above the PMA-50. The 4 feet
are easily removable by hand, and the chassis side features caps
covering 4 screw holes. Simply remove the existing caps and
screw in the feet. Then, put the supplied 4 silver caps into the
original bottom screw holes and you’re all set.
Ergonomic Remote Control
The supplied remote control features an ergonomically-designed
layout that includes a cursor keypad, number keypad and dedi-
cated function buttons such as random, repeat, info and program.
You can control both DCD-50 and PMA-50 with a supplied single
remote.
Clear View OLED Display with Dimmer
The OLED display shows the CD’s total tracks and total time, as
well as the track number and track time, and the song title, artist
name and album name (depending on the disc), along with icons
for random mode, repeat 1 and repeat all modes, and a folder
icon for data discs.
The display automatically rotates to match the installation orien-
tation.
The dimmer function features 3 levels of display brightness,
adjustable via the remote control. When paired with the PMA-50,
you can adjust the display brightness of both units at the same
time.
High Resolution D/A Conversion
For optimum audio quality with the PMA-50, the DCD-50 is
equipped with a coaxial digital audio output - for an easy setup
the required digital audio coax cable is included. For connection
to other audio components that do not have a digital coaxial
input, the DCD-50 features a high quality D/A con-version block
with 32-bit/192-kHz D/A converter that delivers wide dynamic
range, along with extremely low noise and distortion.
Selectable Auto Play
If you prefer, you can easily configure via the remote control the
DCD-50 to wakeup from standby and start immediate playback
when you insert a disc. Once configured, the DCD-50 will retain
your preferred mode until you decide to change it.
Automatic Standby Option
You also have the ability to activate the Auto Standby function,
which will automatically put the DCD-50 in standby mode after
30 minutes of inactivity, saving energy and the environment.
