Latest HDMI 2.0a Connectivity; HDCP 2.2 Compatible;
Video Scaling; ISF Certification
Equipped with 8 HDMI 2.0a inputs, including 1 conveniently
located on the front panel, along with three HDMI outputs, the
AVR-X4200W incorporates an advanced video processor that
features support for 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz full rate video, 4:4:4 Pure
Color sub-sampling and 21:9 video pass-through, along with
support for 3D content, HDR and BT.2020. The AVR-X4200W also
features HDCP 2.2 compatibility on all HDMI inputs, a require-
ment for 4K Ultra HD copy-protected content. And, the video
processor can also upscale analog and digital SD and HD video
to 4K Ultra HD. Certified by the Imaging Science Foundation, the
AVR-X4200W features a full suite of video calibration controls (for
use by an ISF technician), along with ISF Day and ISF Night video
modes.
Dolby Atmos Built In; DTS:X Ready; Auro-3D
®
Upgradeable
Revolutionary Dolby Atmos surround sound technology dis-
penses with channel-based coding in favor of more advanced
object-based coding, giving the sound designer the ability to
precisely place sounds anywhere in the 3-dimensional space.
Thanks to the AVR’s 9ch processing capability, you can enjoy
Dolby Atmos at home with 5.1.2., and even 5.1.4* or 7.1.2*
speaker configurations (*with additional 2ch amplifier). In addition,
the AVR-X4200W is ready for DTS:X, the latest immersive surround
sound system from DTS
®
. DTS:X and DTS Neural:X Upmixer will
be enabled through a future online firmware update. For more

Powerful 7 Channel Discrete Amplifier with ECO Mode
Featuring high current discrete power output devices on all
channels, the AVR-X4200W is rated at 125 watts per channel.
For compatibility with the widest range of loudspeaker models,
the AVR-X4200W is also equipped with low impedance drive
capability, to provide operational stability with speakers rated
at 4 ohms. The ECO mode adjusts the power amplifier’s output
according to the volume level to reduce power consumption and
the on-screen Eco meter lets you see the power consumption
reduction in real time.
Audyssey MultEQ™ XT32 (Pro ready)
The AVR-X4200W features the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 suite of
DSP functions, which includes room equalization, Dynamic EQ
and Dynamic Volume. Audyssey MultEQ XT32 automatic room
acoustic measurement and correction system matches your
speakers to your room’s acoustics, for the smoothest, most
natural tonal balance. Audyssey Dynamic EQ uses advanced
psychoacoustic algorithms to continually adjust tonal balance
so that the sound you hear is full range, even at lower volume
levels, and Audyssey Dynamic Volume smoothes out annoying
volume jumps, especially with loud commercials. Audyssey
LFC prevents bass from passing your walls and disturbing your
neighbors while maintaining the bass performance in the listen-
ing room. The AVR-X4200W is also Audyssey Pro ready for the
most advanced professional room correction.
Denon Link HD; AL24 Processing Plus
When connected to a compatible Denon Blu-ray player, our
exclusive Denon Link HD system provides a dedicated pathway
for the critical timing data to eliminate distortion caused by jitter
errors in the main data stream. Denon’s exclusive AL24+ audio
processing provides ultra high resolution digital audio filtering
and precision tailoring of the main (L/R) audio channels, to de-
liver shimmering detail in the highs, along with smooth natural
midrange and a broad soundstage with improved imaging.
