Get ready for remarkable 7.1 home
theater performance, plus incredible
convenience and flexibility! The AVR 525’s high-
current, ultrawide-bandwidth amp delivers 70
watts x 7 channels to surround you with sweep-
ing, cinematic sound. This receiver has all the
features described for the AVR 325 (above).
It also adds H/K’s exclusive multichannel digital
bass manager, which converts the 5.1 analog input
from an SACD or DVD-Audio player into a high-
quality digital signal. This lets you apply Triple
X-Over settings to your multichannel music,
simultaneously protecting your smaller speakers
and delivering the best possible sound from these
new, ultra-high-resolution formats. This receiver
excels with stereo sources, too — built-in HDCD®
decoding delivers the stunning 20-bit sound
encoded on the thousands of HDCD discs, while
improving the sound of your regular CDs, too.
The front panel offers coaxial and A/V (with
S-video) jacks that are switchable input/outputs,
for true hookup flexibility with camcorders and
portable audio gear. The illuminated EzSet remote
provides easy system control when lights are low.
With innovative conveniences and pristine
Harman Kardon sound, the AVR 225 makes
it easy to enjoy high-performance home
theater. The EzSet™ remote uses a built-in
SPL sensor to balance your home theater
speaker levels automatically! You can also
view receiver menus on your TV screen for
easy system control (requires a TV with
A/V input). 55 watts x 5 (or 65 x 2 stereo)
and 192kHz/24-bit DACs ensure clean, dynamic
multichannel sound. Of course, you get built-in
Dolby® Digital, DTS®, and Pro Logic® II decod-
ing. And H/K’s VMAx virtual surround lets you
enjoy surround-like effects using just 2 speakers.
You get plenty of ins and outs, too — the front
panel even has optical digital, coaxial digital, and
A/V (with S-video) inputs for quick hookup of
camcorders, game systems, or portable audio gear.

The AVR 325 and AVR 525 feature H/K’s new
Triple X-Over system, a great feature for any-
one whose home theater speakers aren’t all
identical. It lets you set individual subwoofer
crossover points for 3 sets of speakers: front
L/R, center channel, and surrounds. Triple
X-Over makes the most of each speaker in
your system, routing all the room-shaking
rumble to your subwoofer and protecting your
smaller speakers from potentially damaging
low frequencies. You can assign unique Triple
X-Over settings to each input source, too !

For high-end stereo sound that doesn’t cost a
fortune, count on the HK 3375! It delivers full-
bodied, dynamic music via 75 high-current watts
per channel. Source options abound with 30

on. 60 full-bandwidth-rated watts x 7 plus
Dolby Digital® EX and DTS-ES® decoding
create a riveting 360° soundfield. H/K’s
Logic 7 modes transform older surround
sources and stereo music into 7.1 audio.
For precise control over your sound, you
get H/K’s Triple X-Over (see box, left).
This receiver also offers three multi-room/dual-source options! Step to 5.1 home theater and
the ’325 can power stereo speakers in a 2nd room. Or, for 7.1 audio plus multi-room audio, you
get dual-source preamp output and an A-BUS port. This lets you use an additional amplifier or
an in-wall A-BUS control (sold separately) to power speakers in a 2nd room — or use them
both for 3-room audio! The learning EzSet remote balances your speaker levels and controls
your whole system. You also get a separate, 2nd-room A/V remote. There are loads of ins and outs, too,
including HDTV-compatible component video switching, a 7.1 preamp input and output, and more.
