The volume level is

'_ The volume can be adjusted within the range ef -80 to 0 te 18 dB,
in steps of 0.5 dB. However, when the channel level is set as
described on page 32-34 er pages 68 and 69 if the volume for any
channel is set at +0.5 dB er greater, the volume cannet be adjusted
up to 18 dB. (in this case the maximum velume adjustment range
is "18 dB -- (Maximum value ef channel level)".)
Input mede when playing DTS sources
Noise will be output if DTS-compatible CDs er LDs are played in the
"ANALOG" or "PCM" mode.
When playing DTS-compatible seurces, be sure to cennect the
source component te the digital input jacks (OPTICAL/COAXIAL)
and set the input mode to "DTS".

'_ The _ indicator lights when digital signals are being input
properly. If the _ indicator does not light, check whether the
digital input cemponent setup (page 37) and connections are
correct and whether the compenent's power is turned on.
÷ AL24 precessing is activated when PCM signals are played while
the surreund mode is set to PURE DIRECT, DIRECT, STEREO.
NOTE:
The _ indicator will light when playing CD-ROMs
containing data ether than audie signals, but ne sound will be
heard.
