1.5 Application&Usage
The operation of the solar inverter is as shown as the gure 1-1. In order to save energy and
electricity, solar inverters convert the DC input power supplied from the PV array into three-phase
AC output power to the grid.

Several different safety systems make up the grid interface:
VFM (Voltage and Frequency Monitoring)
RCD (Residual Current Detection)
DCD (Direct Current Detection)
Controlling redundant AC relays for each grid phase.
