• Shake the appliance to rinse the entire steam generator
(g.16),thenthrowthewateraway;
• Rinseagain;
• Screwthesteamgeneratorcapbackonclockwise;
• ReplacetheprotectivecapA6.
• Thenexttimeyouturntheironon,pressthe
button(g.17)foratleast5 seconds. The light
goes o.
Beforeresumingironing,dischargesteamintotheairforafew
seconds to completely eliminate any residues from the internal
circuits.
Regenerate the limescale lter
When the (C2)and (C1)lights(g.18)comeon,
the limescale lter needs regenerating.
Important!
The lter should only be regenerated when the lights
come on (with average use, about every two years).
Proceed as follows:
• Rinsethesteamgeneratorasdescribedbelow;
• Makesuretheapplianceis oandunpluggedfromthe
mainspowersocket;
• Placetheappliancenearasink;
• Removethewaterreservoir;
• Extract theremovabletube(A5)androtatedownwards
(g.19);
• Takeadoseofregenerator(D4);
• Removethe regeneratorcap(D3)bypullingit upwards
(g.20);
• Upturnthedescalerandinsertitintheholeinthewater
reservoirarea(g.21),thenpressdownforcefullyuntilit
restsonthesafetyclip(g.22);
• Remove the safety clip from the regenerator (D5 –g.
23);
• Pushtheregeneratordownasfarasitwillgo(g.24).A
smallquantityofwatercomesoutoftheremovabletube
andontothewaterreservoirarea;
• FillthewaterreservoirtotheMAXlevel,putbackinplace
andpushdownfully.Afterafewminutes,descalersolu-
tioncomesoutoftheremovabletube.
 Waitabout30minutesuntilthesolutionowhasstop-
ped.
• Removethe water reservoir, ll it up to the MAX level
againandputbackinplace.Rinseforabout30minutes.
• Extractthewaterreservoirandeliminatetheemptyde-
scaler pack.
• Turntheremovabletubeandpushitbackfullyinitscom-
partment.
• The next time the appliance comes on, press the
buttonfor 5 seconds. The (C2)and
(C1) lights go out.
After use
Placetheironontheironrestandlockinplacebyplacingthe
lock/release slide in the position. Wait for the system to
cool down.
Models with cable wind button: press the button(A8)
towindthecable.
Models without cable wind button: windthecabletidily
andholditinplacewiththeVelcrocabletidystrip(A13),then
placeitinthecablecompartment.
Fixthesteam/cabletubeonthehookA3.
Store the iron in a dry place.
