PROBLEMS RESOLVABLE WITHOUT CONTACTING CUSTOMER SERVICESS
PROBLEM CAUSE REMEDY
The appliance does not come
on.
• Theapplianceisnotpluggedintoa
mains socket.
• Makesuretheapplianceiscorrectly
connected and press the iron and
steamgeneratorONbuttons.
Steam leaks from behind the
tank.
• Themaximumpressuresafety
system has tripped.
• Turntheapplianceoffimmediately
and contact an authorised
De’LonghiCustomerServices.
Waterleaks outfromthe holes
inthebottomofthesoleplate.
• Waterhascondensedinsidethe
tubesbecausesteamisbeingused
forthersttime,orhasnotbeen
used for some time.
• Pressthesteambuttonseveral
timesawayfromtheironingboard.
This will eliminate cold water from
the steam circuit.
• Theironingsystemispositionedon
anunstableand/orslopingsurface.
• Resttheironingsystemonastable
flat surface.
Browncoloureduidleaksfrom
the sole plate
• Chemicalwatersoftenersor
additiveshavebeenpouredintothe
water tank or steam generator.
• Neverpourproductsintothewater
tank(seeourtipsinthequick
guide). Clean the sole plate with a
damp cloth.
The rst time the appliance is
turnedon,younoticesmoke
• Somepartshavebeentreatedwith
sealer/lubricantwhichevaporates
thersttimetheironheatsup.
• Thisisnormalandwillstopwhen
youhaveusedtheironafewtimes.
The appliance emits an inter-

• Thisiscompletelynormal.

• Unplugthesystemfromthe
mains and contact an authorised
De’LonghiCustomerServices.
Aftertoppingupwithwater,the
appliance does not discharge
steam.
• Completelyremovethetankand
replaceitinitshousing(g.3).
During use, steam production
stops for a few seconds and
the appliance performs a self-
diagnosiscycle,indicatedbythe
lights coming on.
