PREPARATIONS FOR USE
What water to use
The appliance works with normal tap water.In
caseofveryhardwater(hardnessabove27°F)
we suggest using demineralised water diluted
with 50% tap water.
Neverusedemineralisedwateronitsown.
Never use chemical substances or detergents
(e.g.perfumedwater,essences,descalingsolu-
tion,etc).
Important!
Never use other types of water, chemical sub-
stancesordetergents(e.g.perfumedwater,es-
sences,watersoftener,etc).
Filling the tank
Danger!
Make sure the cable is unplugged from the
mains socket.
• Openthedoorofthewatertankandll.Ne-
verexceedtheMAXlevelmarkedonthetank
(0.7l).
• Plugtheapplianceintoamainssocket.
Please note:
Thersttimeyouusetheappliance,thesteam
generator is empty.
When lling the steam generator for the rst
time,theheating uptimewill belonger asthe
airmustbeeliminatedfromthesteamgenerator
andreplacedbythewater.
Duringlling/heatingitisnormalforthepump
to make a noise.
The appliance will also run out of water much
morequicklythanwithsubsequentlls.
OPERATION
Steam ironing
• Press the (iron on) button F and the
(steam generator on) button J. The
lights on the corresponding buttons come
on.
• Wait for the (steam ready) light E to
come on and the light O to go off.
• Proceedbypressingthesteambutton L.
Please note:
• Whenusedforthersttime,theappliance
maygiveoffsmokeandanodourforseveral
minutes.Thisiscausedbyheatingandsub-
sequentdryingofthesealersusedinassem-
blingthesteamgeneratorandiron.
You are recommended to ventilate the
room.
• LightsE and O will go on and off during iro-
ning,accordingtothetemperaturereached
bythesteamgeneratorandiron.
Itispartofnormaloperationandnotacause
for concern.
• Whileironing,itisnormaltohearthewater
llpumpcomeonandgooff.
Thisiscausedbytransferofwaterfromthe
tank to the steam generator.
This is part of normal operation and is not a
cause for concern.
