Fundamental safety warnings
Danger!
This is an electrical appliance and may cause
electric shock.
You should therefore respect the following sa-
fety warnings:
• Nevertouchtheappliancewithdamphan-
ds.
• Never use the appliance with bare or wet
feet.
• Neverimmersetheapplianceinwater.
• Never unplug the appliance by pulling the
powercableortheapplianceitself.
• Ifthesocketandpowercableplugareincom-
patible,thesocketshouldbechangedfora
suitabletypebyaqualiedprofessionalonly
who should ensure that the cross-section of
thewiresleadingtothesocketissuitablefor
thepowerabsorbedbytheappliance.
• To add water, turn the ironing system off
using the switch, then unplug from the
mains.Neverlltheapplianceunderrunning
water.
• Alwaysunplugtheappliancefromthemains
socketbeforellingthetankwithwater.
• Ifthepowercableisdamaged,itmustbere-
placedbythemanufacturerorthemanufac-
turer’sCustomerServicesinordertoavoid
all risk.
• Adapters, multiple sockets and/or exten-
sionsshouldnotbeused.
Iftheiruseisnecessary,onlyadapters,mul-
tiplesocketsandextensionscomplyingwith
current safety standards and regulations
should be used, taking care not to exceed
the power limit indicated on the adapter.
• The safety of this appliance is guaranteed
only if correctly connected to a proper and
effective earth connection as specied by
current electrical safety standards and regu-
lations.
Thisfundamentalsafetyrequisiteshouldbe
