Removing the fans

Prerequisites

1. Remove the base cover.

2. Remove the I/O-board interposers.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.

2. Remove the four screws (M2x3) that secure the fans to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

3. Remove the coin-cell battery cable from the routing guides on the fans.

4. Lift the fans along with their cable, off the system board.
