3. システムカバーを取り外します。

4. 冷却用エアフローカバーを取り外します。

警告: The heat sink and processor are hot to the touch for some time after the system has

been powered down. Allow the heat sink and processor to cool before handling them.

注意: Never remove the heat sink from a processor unless you intend to remove the

processor. The heat sink is necessary to maintain proper thermal conditions.

5. ヒートシンク / ヒートシンクのダミー、およびプロセッサ / プロセッサのダミーのうち、該当するもの

を取り外します。

メモ: ヒートシンクのダミーまたはプロセッサのダミーの取り外し手順は、ヒートシンクまたはプ

ロセッサの取り外し手順と同様です。

6. 新しいプロセッサをパッケージから取り出します。

7. プロセッサを ZIF（ゼロインサーションフォース）ソケットのソケットキーに合わせます。

注意: Positioning the processor incorrectly can permanently damage the system board or the

processor. Be careful not to bend the pins in the socket.

注意: Do not use force to seat the processor. When the processor is positioned correctly, it

engages easily into the socket.

8. プロセッサソケットのリリースレバーを開き位置にした状態で、ソケット上のピン 1 位置合わせガイド

を使用してプロセッサのピン 1 を基準点として合わせ、プロセッサをソケットにそっと配置します。

9. プロセッサシールドを閉じます。

10. ロックアイコンの近くにあるソケットリリースレバーを、所定の位置にロックされるまで回します。

11. 同じように、アンロックアイコンの近くにあるソケットリリースレバーを、所定の位置にロックさ

れるまで回します。

12. 糸くずの出ないきれいな布で、ヒートシンクからサーマルグリースを拭き取ります。

注意: Applying too much thermal grease can result in excess grease coming in contact with

and contaminating the processor socket.

13. プロセッサキットに含まれているグリース塗布器を開け、新しいプロセッサの上部中央にサーマルグリ

ースを残さず塗布します。

14. ヒートシンクをプロセッサの上に置きます。

15. #2 プラスドライバを使用して、ヒートシンクの固定ソケットを締めます。

16. 冷却用エアフローカバーを取り付けます。

17. システムカバーを取り付けます。

18. システムおよび周辺機器をコンセントに接続し、システムの電源をオンにします。

19. <F2> を押して System Setup（セットアップユーティリティ）ページを開き、プロセッサ情報が新しい

システム設定と一致していることをチェックします。

20. システム診断プログラムを実行し、新しいプロセッサが正しく動作することを確認します。

お使いのシステムは次のいずれかをサポートします。

• 750 W または 1100 W AC PSU モジュール 2 台、もしくは

• 750 W または 1100 W DC PSU モジュール 2 台
