Option Description
Skip Local Firmware Check Select this option to enable the thin client to bypass the local le
server checks for the rmware updates.
NOTE: Dell recommends that you enable this option if you
dene a rmware on the management console. It leads to
an endless restart as the thin client applies diering
images, if you have rmware policies in the management
console and rmware on a local le server.
Verify Signature Select the check box to verify the signature.
Enable BIOS Upgrade Select this option to enable the BIOS upgrade process.
Select BIOS File Select this option to choose the BIOS le which is uploaded in the
le repository. From the drop-down menu, select the BIOS le.
Enable Package Upgrade Select this option to enable the package upgrade process. This
option is available for thin clients running ThinOS 8.6_017 and later
versions. To upload the package, go to Apps & Data > OS Image
Repository > ThinOS > Add Package le. For more information,
see Adding ThinOS package le to repository.
Available Packages Select the package les that need to be deployed to the thin client.
Dene desired platform or rmware mappings This option maps the specic rmware versions to dierent
platform types.
To map a platform type to a specic rmware version, do the
following:
1 From the Platform Type drop-down menu, select a platform.
2 From the Firmware to auto-deploy drop-down menu, select a
rmware version.
The list of platform types and the number of rmware
versions uploaded to the File Repository Inventory page are
displayed.
Conguring device settings
Use the Device Settings (8.6+) page to congure the mouse, keyboard, monitor, time zone, printers, audio, and network settings for
ThinOS 8.6 and later versions.

Option Description
Device Settings Managements From the drop-down list, select the preferred option. The available
options are:
• Disable manual override—Select this option to disable manual
overriding for all the devices with Wyse Management Suite
congurations.
• Enable all manual overrides—Select this option to manually
override all the devices with client congurations.
