Edge Gateway and Embedded PC registration
• Edge Gateway and Embedded PC Registration from USB Device:
a Insert a USB drive into a PC or Laptop with which you are logged in to WMS.
b Within the "cong" folder, create another folder named "ccm-wda".
c Create a folder named "cong" at the root level of the USB drive.
d Download the Bootstrap le for the group to which you want to register the Edge Gateway/Embedded PC.
e Rename the le to reg.json and place inside the "ccm-wda" folder on the USB drive.
f Safely eject the USB drive and insert into the Edge Gateway/Embedded PC device, then reboot.
• Links to download Wyse Device Agents are available along with the links to instructions, separately for Windows Binaries and Ubuntu.
• The registered groups are also displayed.
External App Services
The External App services allows you to create secured API accounts. It provides the ability to create special accounts. These special
accounts feature role based access that only provide access to EDM/CCM through API.
To congure the External App Service, complete the following task.
1 Login in to the Dell Management Console (EDM) and click the Portal Admin tab.
2 Select External App Services under Console Settings.
3 Select the Add tab to add an API service.
The Add External App Services dialog box is displayed.
4 Enter the following details to add an External App Service.
• Name
• Description
5 Select the check box.
If you select the check box, then the Global admin approval is not required to activate.
6 Click Save to save your changes.
File repository
Edge Device Manager has two types of repository:
• Local Repository: During EDM Private Cloud installation, We have to provide the Local Repository path in Wyse Management Suite
Installer. Post installation, Go to
Portal Admin > File Repository and select The Local Repository and click Edit option to view and edit
Repository settings.
• Wyse Management Suite Repository: Login to Wyse Management Suite Public Cloud ,Go to Portal Admin > File Repository and
Download the Wyse Management Suite Repository Installer. Post installation, Register Wyse Management Suite Repository to Wyse
Management Suite Management Server by providing required Information (Public Or Private Cloud Server).
Follow the steps mentioned on the screen. The steps are:
1 Download the Wyse Management Suite repository.
2 After the installation process, start the application.
3 After installation, the service starts automatically. You must register the Wyse Management Suite repository to Wyse Management
Suite server with your credentials.
Click the Sync Files option to sync the les and click the Edit option to edit the les.
1 When you click the Edit option, a window is displayed with Repository Server settings details.
