Conguring Console Settings
This section helps you to congure settings for Dell Console Management.
Active Directory (AD)
To import Active Directory Users on Edge Device Manager Private Cloud, complete the following steps:
1 Login to EDM Private Cloud.
2 Navigate to Portal Admin > Console Settings > Active Directory (AD)
3 Click the Add AD Server Information link.
4 Enter AD Server Name, Domain Name, Server URL, Port and Save.
5 After the AD Server information is saved, click the Import Button.
6 Provide User Name, Password and Click Login (Search Base is optional. It is useful to limit the search to child domain or specic OU).
7 On the User Group Page, Click on the Group name (Click on Search button and enter the group name for quick search).
8 The selected group will be moved to right pane of the page. Click Next and on the next page click Import Users.
NOTE
: The users with Invalid or No Last Name and Email can not be imported into Wyse Management Suite. Those
users will be skipped during User import process.
9 After successful import of the users from AD, Wyse Management Suite Management Portal will show the conrmation message with
number of users imported.
10 Go to Users tab > Unassigned Admins the Imported AD Users are listed here.
11 Select the desired user and click Edit User button to assign dierent Roles/Permissions.
12 After assigning the Roles to the AD Users, the AD users will be moved to Administrators tab under Users Page.
13 AD Users can now login to Wyse Management Suite Management Portal using Domain Credentials. To login using Domain Credentials,
Launch the Wyse Management Suite Management Portal from Desktop Shortcut. On the login screen, Click “Sign in with your domain
credentials” link. Enter Domain user credentials and click Sign In.
14 The Imported AD users can be Activated/Deactivated from Users Page using Global Admin login. Once the user is deactivated, they
cannot login to Wyse Management Suite Management Portal.
