• MySQL for private cloud—EDM can be installed with MySQL using the Custom Installation
option.
NOTE: EDM has been validated with MySQL version 5.6.37.
• Configurable Heartbeat and Check in interval—You can configure heartbeat and check-in
interval on the Portal Administration page.
• Certificate Authority (CA) validation for file repository—Private or public cloud for EDM allows
CA validation configuration to download files from a remote repository.
• EDM console page size and filter enhancement—You can configure the page size based on
the values between 10 to 100. This application also provides an option to save the filter on the
Devices page, and administrator can set the default filter.
• Batch synchronization of BIOS admin password—System administrator can set the BIOS
administrator password for multiple devices. This option is added in the More Actions drop-
down menu on the Jobs page.
• EDM mobile application—Mobile application can be configured to ignore validation of
Certificate Authority.

Workaround
Windows Dell gateway agent service does not
start on Edge Gateway.
Clear the log files in the directory
C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Dell and
reboot the device.
Agent is not updated to version 14.x on Windows
Edge gateway and Embedded PCs.
Reboot the device to upgrade the agent.
Edge gateway 3000 NIC BIOS setting displays an
error. When the administrator configures NIC1,
NIC2 the BIOS setting displays an error.
Update BIOS settings or procure a new
hardware.
When you update firmware the first time, the
following status is displayed: Failed-No devices
