ThinOS 9.1.1131
Upgrade to ThinOS 9.1 from ThinOS 8.6
Use the Wyse Management Suite version 3.1 or later to upgrade your ThinOS 8.6-based thin clients to ThinOS version 9.1. Dell
Technologies recommends that you use Dell Wyse Management Suite for large deployments.
You cannot boot into ThinOS 9.1 when you perform the following operations in BIOS setup:
● Disable onboard Network Interface Card (NIC), Trusted Platform Module (TPM), or Platform Trust Technology (PTT).
● Clear TPM or PTT.
For more information about how to upgrade from ThinOS version 8.6 to ThinOS version 9.1, see the Dell Wyse ThinOS Version
9.1 Migration Guide at www.dell.com/support.
NOTE: All device settings are erased after you upgrade from ThinOS 8.6 to 9.1 except the Wyse Management Suite server
settings, wireless connections, wireless certificates, and proxy. You must back up your device settings before you start the
upgrade process. Once upgraded to ThinOS 9.1, you can downgrade to ThinOS 8.6 only by using the Merlin image.
