New and enhanced features
Flash protection reliability
Flash protection reliability is enhanced in this release to extend flash life. You must upgrade to ThinOS 9.1.2101 to use this
enhancement.
Keyboard layout updates
ThinOS supports the Macedonian, Macedonian – Standard, Belgian, and Belgian (Comma) keyboard layouts. You can configure
the keyboard layout from ThinOS local UI, Admin Policy Tool, or the Wyse Management Suite policy settings. For more
information about how to configure the settings, see the Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1 Administrator's Guide at www.dell.com/
support.
Limitation: The VMware blast session does not support the newly added keyboard layouts namely Belgian (Comma),
Macedonian, and Polish (Legacy). To use the Macedonian keyboard layout, you must set the local keyboard layout as
Macedonian (standard), and Horizon will sync it into blast session. The RDP session does not support the Macedonian
(standard) keyboard layout, if you set the local keyboard layout as Macedonian (standard), the keyboard layout will be set
as Macedonian in RDP session.
New options added for Customize Privilege Level
When you set the user privilege to Customize, you can manually select options that you want to enable or disable in the ThinOS
system menu. From ThinOS 9.1.2101 onwards, Add Connection, Global Connection Settings, and DHCP options are added.
The DHCP option is only available after you enable Network Setup.
Supports external secure MQTT for Wyse Management Suite
server
If you enable the external secure MQTT option on the Wyse Management Suite server, the thin client automatically fetches the
MQTT server <tls://xxx.xxx.xxx:8443>.
NOTE:
If port 1883 is blocked in the Wyse Management Suite server, the ThinOS client cannot switch to the External
Secure MQTT server from the External MQTT server. If you are blocking port 1883, select External Secure MQTT as
Preferred MQTT in the Wyse Management Suite server first.
New background picture for ThinOS
The default background picture of ThinOS is changed.
Shutdown menu update
The default selection on Shutdown menu is changed from Restart to Shutdown.
Display port audio design enhancement
The display port (DP) audio design has been changed on Wyse 5070 Thin Client, Wyse 5470 Thin Client, and Wyse 5470
All-in-One Thin Client. In the previous release, HDMI/DP audio options used to be displayed in the Playback Devices list
on Peripherals > Audio tab without monitors being connected. From ThinOS 9.1.2101 onwards, HDMI/DP audio options are
displayed in Playback Devices list on Peripherals > Audio tab when monitors that support display audio are connected.
Limitation:When two monitors with display audio supported are connected to the Dell WD19 docking station, the HDMI/DP
audio option does not appear after one of monitors is disconnected. Dell Technologies recommends you not to hot plug monitors
to the Dell WD19 docking station. However, the Dell WD19 docking station can be hot plugged.
