If you are upgrading BIOS on the Wyse 5470 Thin Client, ensure that you have connected the device to the external power
source using the power adapter. If you do not connect the power adapter, BIOS update fails. In this event, you cannot upgrade
BIOS even after you connect the power adapter. As a workaround, do the following:
1. Install a different version of the BIOS.
NOTE:
A different version of the BIOS package may also fail to install. But, the installation status does not matter. You
can continue to the next step regardless of the result.
2. Connect the device to the external power source using the power adapter.
3. Upgrade BIOS to the latest version.
NOTE:
When you use the BIOS upgrade feature for the first time, the BIOS package downloads even if the existing BIOS
version is the same version that is uploaded.
