● WAV file plays no sound in Horizon Linux client.
● When WMA file is stopped and played again, there is no sound output in Multimedia Redirection. This issue has been noticed
in MP3 files also.
● Audio and video do not synchronize when certain videos are played on Wyse 5470 Mobile Thin Client using Multimedia
Redirection.
● The display resolution 3840x2160 has video and audio synchronization issue. The maximum display resolution for Multimedia
Redirection is 2560x1440 (single monitor only).
Unified Communication optimization on Wyse 3040 Thin Client:
● Due to performance issues related to high CPU usage, Dell Technologies recommends not to initiate a Unified
Communication video call in Blast session on Wyse 3040 Thin Client .
● Zoom limitations:
○ Cannot use Esc to quit Zoom full screen mode.
○ If you open two Blast sessions, Zoom video may appear in the wrong session.
○ If you use the Wyse 5740 Mobile Thin Client build-in audio to make a Zoom call, it echos. Dell Technologies recommends
you to use USB headset to make Zoom call.
Blast session displays a black screen after launch:
● There are chances that the launched blast session displays a black screen. In such an event, you may disconnect the session
and relaunch.
VMware Integrated Printing in Blast session:
●
Currently ThinOS supports only PS printer in Blast session since VMware has removed Thin print support from VMware
Horizon 8.0 and VMware Horizon Client 2006. Ensure the agent version is above 7.9 and select the component VMware
Integrated Printing. However, some PS model of printer may not work in Blast session, it depends on the VMware integration
printing support.
Keyboard layout known issue:
● In ThinOS 9.1.2101, some keyboard layouts were supported in Blast. Here are the keyboard layouts that worked in ThinOS
9.1.2101, however cannot sync into Blast session:
○ Slovakian
○ Slovakian (Qwerty)
○ German (Switzerland)
Wyse Management Suite known issues:
● When you in check-in to the Wyse Management Suite server, a 7700 error is displayed in the event log. This issue occurs
as the time is different between the client and the server, or the device registration information does not exist in the server
database. In such an event, the client tries to check in to the Wyse Management Suite twice. If the check in fails, you must
restart the client.
● BIOS password change using Select Group, irrespective of parent or child group is not supported. There are chances that
the BIOS password may be cleared if changed.
Teradici known issue for Remote Workstation Card:
● During the Remote Workstation Card session, muting the voice does not work unless you mute the thin client. Remote
Workstation Card has the same behavior on windows client. This is the default behavior of the Remote Workstation Card and
is not a ThinOS issue.
Limitations
● Bluetooth—Supports bluetooth audio paring to one thin client only, due to limitation of bluetooth stack on ThinOS.
● NIC port—ThinOS 9.1 supports only one extended NIC port.
● Captive wireless portal:
○ ThinOS 9.1 only supports HTTP redirect.
○ If an OPT (options) record with DNS resource record (RR) type 41 is available in a received DNS response, the same OPT
record must be available in the Additional records section. ThinOS 9.1 does not support the DNS response with a OPT
record that is available in the Answer section.
● QUMU—Some QUMU videos cannot playback with BCR enabled in Citrix desktop. For videos to be able to playback,
Dell Technologies recommends not to configure BCR to make the video render on server side. However, this impacts the
performance of the server.
● Citrix Unified Communications (UC):
