Wyse Management Suite. The Citrix Unified Communication Virtual Settings and Other Virtual Channel Settings
in Admin Policy Tool and Wyse Management Suite server are only applicable for ThinOS 9.1.2101, or earlier versions. In
an event where you do not want to use Unified Communication optimization functions, you must uninstall the related
Unified Communication packages. However, Unified Communication feature performance without optimization enabled is not
satisfactory and consumes more server resources.
● QUMU video optimization pack for Citrix updates—Dell Technologies recommends using BCR configurations for QUMU
videos URL in thin clients. Ensure to add the QUMU videos URL to Citrix policy Browser Content Redirection ACL
Configuration, and configure the prerequisites for BCR supported browsers. For more information, see Citrix Browser
Content Redirection feature in Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1 Administrator's Guide at www.dell.com/support
NOTE: For limitations related to Citrix Unified Communications, see the Limitations section.
Imprivata
The following changes have been made in the Imprivata ProveID Embedded Mode Advanced Settings:
● Added Enable VMware Horizon view Menu bar.
● Removed Device blocklist.
Identity Automation
From this release onwards, the Identity Automation is independent of the ThinOS firmware, which is named as Identity
Automation QwickAccess in System Tools > Packages. With absence of this package, you cannot use Identity Automation
QwickAccess to log on to any broker. The package name in system tool is displayed as Identity Automation QwickAccess
while in other parts it is displayed as Identity Automation.
NOTE: For this release, ThinOS is verified against HealthCast Lynx server version 1.5.2.
NOTE: For limitations related to Identity Automation, see the Limitations section.
Teradici PCoIP updates
The following update has been made for Teradici PCoIP:
● Amazon Workspaces (AWS)—Teradici PCoIP Connection Manager for AWS has reached end of life since the end of 2020.
Teradici will continue to support PCoIP Connection Manager for AWS for existing users until April 13, 2021. However, the
product is no longer available on AWS Marketplace for deployment of new instances to new users. Existing deployments
with PCoIP Connection Manager for AWS continues to function. In this ThinOS release, the thin client that is connected
to AWS using the registration code is tested. For more information, see Teradici PCoIP Connection Manager for Amazon
WorkSpaces at aws.amazon.com.
RDP connection updates
ThinOS 9.1.3xxx supports the following options:
● Configuring RD gateway on RDP direct connection—ThinOS 9.1.3xx supports remote desktop gateway on RDP Direct
Connection. To configure RD Gateway on ThinOS Local, Admin Policy Tool, and Wyse Management Suite, see Dell Wyse
ThinOS Version 9.1 Administrator's Guide at www.dell.com/support.
● Supports shortcut key to change display mode for RDP connection—Added the RDP Shortcut Key option in Admin Policy
Tool and Wyse Management Suite. By default the shortcut key option is disabled. ThinOS does not allow usage of shortcut
to change RDP connection display mode after RDP connection is launched successfully. When enabled, you can use the
shortcut to change the RDP connection display mode after RDP connection is launched successfully.
NOTE:
The shortcut keys Ctrl + Shift + up changes RDP connection display mode from window mode to full screen
mode, Ctrl + Shift + down changes RDP connection display mode from full screen mode to window mode.
