Release summary
This release note contains information about the KBmonitor add-on for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 2016 and Windows 10 IoT
Enterprise 2019 LTSC. The add-on addresses the low space issue when you deploy the security patches to thin clients with 32 GB flash.
The add-on monitors the free space available in the thin client. If the free space available is less than 15 GB and if you are managing the
thin client manually or using Wyse Management Suite, the add-on monitors the free space and checks for WUSA process.
If the free space is less than 1 GB, the KBmonitor application deletes the source .msu installation file that is copied to thin client and end
the process.
NOTE:
• The KBmonitor add-on starts monitoring the free space of the operating system drive only when the write filter is
disabled.
• If you do not run the .msu file within 25 minutes after the write filter is disabled, then the KBmonitor add-on does
not monitor the operating system drive. Restart the thin client to start monitoring if the .msu file must be triggered
in maintenance state.
