Limitations
VMware Horizon
● Blast session:
○ There is a probability that the session is black when a blast session is launched. During this time, you can try to
disconnect and relaunch (sign-off broker and sign in again) the session.
● JVDI audio or video call:
○ In a blast session on Wyse 5470 Thin Client, sometimes there is no audio in JVDI audio or video call.
● Zoom optimization:
○ Once Zoom is launched, the video appears to be offset sometimes, which is a known issue. You must sign off from
the blast session, relaunch the session, and zoom again. Zoom optimization using the proxy server is not supported for
Horizon blast.
○ Zoom optimization using the proxy server is not supported for Horizon blast.
● Printing in blast session:
○ At the moment, ThinOS only supports PS printer in blast session as VMware has removed thin print support from Horizon
8.0 and client 2006 onwards. However, some printers may not be supported, it is according to the printer model used.
● Application multilaunch does not work.
Monitors on Dell WD19 docking station: On Wyse 5470 devices, ThinOS supports one quad HD display at 30 Hz and two
full HD displays at 60 Hz on Dell WD19 docking station. If two displays with a resolution greater than 1920x1080 are connected
simultaneously, different behaviors may occur, which are as below:
● The resolutions are random, you must change the resolutions to 1920x1080 or lower to make both the displays work. You
must reconnect the Dell WD19 docking station once to get the correct resolutions.
● The second connected monitor is disabled, you must enable it in Display Setup first, then change the resolutions to
1920x1080 or lower to make both the displays work. You must reconnect the Dell WD19 docking station once to get the
correct resolutions.
Fingerprint reader: If you have installed both Imprivata and HID packages on ThinOS, you cannot use the Fingerprint reader on
the KSI-1700 keyboard after restarting your ThinOS device.
