Windows Virtual Desktop
Supports Active Directory Federation Server (ADFS) logon—You can use your ADFS server login to join the on-premises
Active Directory with the Azure Active Directory. You must ensure that you have an Azure Active Directory, public domain
name, and on-premises Active Directory. Also, ensure that you have configured the ADFS and Azure AD Connect. For more
information about how to log in to the Windows Virtual Desktop, see the Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1 Administrator's Guide at
www.dell.com/support.
HID fingerprint reader support
ThinOS supports using the HID global software with HID fingerprint reader in Citrix ICA session. For more information about how
to use the HID fingerprint reader, see the Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1 Administrator's Guide at www.dell.com/support.
The supported devices are as below:
● HID EikonTouch 4300 Fingerprint Reader
● HID EikonTouch TC510 Fingerprint Reader
● HID EikonTouch TC710 Fingerprint Reader
● HID EikonTouch M211 Fingerprint Reader
● HID EikonTouch V311 Fingerprint Reader
Imprivata updates
● Imprivata PIE VDI silent mode—VDI silent mode allows ThinOS to load the VDI configurations from the Remote
Connections window in ThinOS. By default, Imprivata OneSign policy controls the VDI selection. You can use either the
Admin Policy Tool or the Wyse Management Suite policy settings to configure the VDI silent mode. For more information
about how to configure the Imprivata PIE VDI silent mode, see the Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1 Administrator's Guide at
www.dell.com/support.
NOTE: RDP is not supported in VDI silent mode.
● Imprivata fingerprint reader—The Imprivata fingerprint device must be configured to get better experience with the
fingerprint authentication. You can configure the fingerprint device for Citrix ICA, PCoIP, and VMware blast sessions. You
can use either the Admin Policy Tool or the Wyse Management Suite policy settings to configure the Imprivata fingerprint
reader settings. For more information about how to configure the fingerprint device, see the Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1
Administrator's Guide at www.dell.com/support.
Teradici cloud access updates
You can configure the security mode from System Setup > Remote Connection > Broker Setup > Teradici CLoud Access
from the ThinOS local UI. The following security mode types have been added:
● Full (never connects to untrusted servers)
● Warning (warns before connecting to untrusted servers)
● Low (does not verify identity certificates)
NOTE:
For more information about how to configure the security modes, see the Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1
Administrator's Guide, at www.dell.com/support.
Supports the Bloomberg keyboard
ThinOS supports Bloomberg Keyboard STB 100. The keyboard has two connection methods. One method uses a single USB
cable to the USB port of the system. The second method is to connect dual USB cables to a KVM USB switch. In a single
USB cable connection, the keyboard device ID is vid-1188_pid-9545. All the six interfaces are under this device ID.In the dual
USB cable connection, the keyboard device IDs are vid-1188_pid-9525 for one device and vid-1188_pid-9535 for the other five
devices. ThinOS supports Bloomberg keyboard with single USB and dual USB.
The following table describes the keyboard functionalities that are supported in VDI sessions:
