Configuring Certificate Authentication for WebUI Access
The controller supports client certificate authentication for users accessing the controller using the WebUI. (The
default is for username/password authentication.) You can use client certificate authentication only, or client
certificate authentication with username/password (if certificate authentication fails, the user can log in with a
configured username and password).
Each controller can support a maximum of ten management users.
To use client certificate authentication, you must do the following:
1. Obtain a client certificate and import the certificate into the controller. Obtaining and importing a client
certificate is described in Managing Certificates on page 845.
2. Configure certificate authentication for WebUI management. You can optionally also select
username/password authentication.
3. Configure a user with a management role. Specify the client certificate for authentication of the user.
