wifi0-mode <mode>
Description
This command configures a W-IAP to function in the access, monitor, or spectrum monitor mode.
Syntax
Parameter Description Range Default
<mode>
Configures the W-IAP to function in any of the
following modes:
l Access— In Access mode, the W-IAP
serves clients, while also monitoring for
rogue APs in the background.
l Monitor—In Monitor mode, the AP acts as
a dedicated monitor, scanning all
channels for rogue W-IAPs and clients.
l Spectrum Monitor— In Spectrum
Monitor mode, the W-IAP functions as a
dedicated full-spectrum RF monitor,
scanning all channels to detect
interference, whether from neighboring
APs or from non-WiFi devices such as
microwaves and cordless phones.
NOTE: In Monitor and Spectrum Monitor
modes, the W-IAP does not provide access
services to clients.

Use this command to configure a Wi-Fi interface of a W-IAP to function in the access, monitor, or spectrum
monitor mode.
Example
The following example configures the wifi0 interface to use the access mode:
