swarm-mode <mode>
Description
This command allows you to provision a W-IAP in the standalone or cluster mode.
Syntax
Parameter Description Range
<mode>
Provisions the W-IAP in the standalone or cluster mode.
The swarm-mode standalone command converts the AP to
the standalone mode, whereas the swarm-mode cluster
command converts it to the cluster mode.

Usage Guidelines
When a IAP is converted to the standalone mode, it cannot join a cluster of W-IAPs even if the W-IAP is in the
same VLAN. If the W-IAP is in the cluster mode, it can form a cluster with other Virtual Controller W-IAPs in the
same VLAN.
Example
The following command allows you to convert a W-IAP to a standalone AP:
(Instant AP)# swarm-mode standalone
