Usage Guidelines
A controller that supports multiple 3G cellular uplinks in addition to its standard wired ports, provides
redundancy in the event of a connection failure. If a controller's wired link cannot access the internet, the
controller can fail over to a secondary cellular link and continue routing traffic.
The uplink manager is enabled by default on branch controller uplinks. Master or local (non-branch) controllers
using the PAN portal feature must issue the uplink enable command to enable the uplink manager.
To view the health status of an uplink on a master or local controller, issue the command show uplink in the
controller command-line interface. For a branch controller, the health status of its uplink connections are also
displayed in the Status section of the Dashboard > WAN page of the branch controller WebUI.
