Parameter Description
Deny_Broadcast Probes
When a client sends a
broadcast probe request
frame to search for all
available SSIDs, this
option controls whether or
not the system responds
for this SSID. When
enabled, no response is
sent and clients have to
know the SSID in order to
associate to the SSID.
When disabled, a probe
response frame is sent for
this SSID.
Local Probe Response
Shows if local probe
response is enabled or
disabled on the AP. If this
option is enabled, the AP
is responsible for sending
802.11 probe responses
to wireless clients probe
requests. If this option is
disabled, then the
controller sends the
802.11 probe responses
Disable Probe Retry
If disabled, the AP will not
resend probes if it does
not get a response.
Battery Boost
Shows if the battery boost
feature is enabled or
disabled for the AP. If
enabled, this feature
converts multicast traffic
to unicast before delivery
to the client, thus allowing
you to set a longer DTIM
interval. The longer
interval keeps associated
wireless clients from
activating their radios for
multicast indication and
delivery, leaving them in
power-save mode longer
and thus lengthening
battery life
Drop Broadcast and Multicast
If this feature is enabled
on an AP, it drops all
downstream broadcast or
multicast traffic to
increase battery life.
