Description
Create new profiles to support new USB modems or to customize USB characteristics.
Syntax
Parameter Description
cellular profile <profile_name>
Enter the keywords cellular profile followed by your
profile name. This command changes the
configuration mode and the command line prompt
changes to:
host (config-cellular <profile_name>)#
dialer <group>
Enter the keyword dialer followed by a group name
to specify the dialing parameters for the carrier. The
parameters tend to be common between service
providers on the same type of network (CDMA vs.
GSM) as displayed in the show dialer group
command.
driver acm|hso|option|sierra|ptumlusbnet
Enter the keyword driver followed by one of the
driver options:
l acm: Linux ACM driver.
l hso: Option High Speed driver.
l option: Option USB data card driver (default).
l sierra: Sierra Wireless driver.
l ptumlusbnet: Pantech UML290 driver.
import <address>
Enter the keyword import followed by the USB device
address as displayed in the show usb command.
Import retrieves the vendor/product serial numbers
from the USB device list and populates them into the
profile.
modeswitch {eject <params>}|rezero
Enter the keyword modeswitch followed by either:
l eject followed by the CDROM device.
l rezero: Send SCSI CDROM rezero command.
Certain cellular devices must be modeswitched
before the modem switches to data mode.

Enter the keyword no to negate the command and
revert back to the defaults.
