VMware ESXi 7.0 does not boot after upgrading from
VMware ESXi 6.5.x
Description: VMware ESXi 7.0 does not boot after upgrading from VMware ESXi 6.5.x using VMware vSphere Update
Manager (VUM). The following error message is observed during boot: Fatal Error. This issue is
observed when the VMware ESXi 7.0 A01 image is installed.
Applies to: ESXi 7.0
Workaround: Use the VMware ESXi 7.0 A02 image for upgrading from VMware ESXi 6.5.x.

due to system management software incompatibility
Description: Upgrading ESXi 6.5.x or ESXi 6.7.x to ESXi 7.0 fails with an error pointing to dcim and dcism related
packages.

Workaround: Upgrading Dell EMC customized VMware ESXi 6.5.x or 6.7.x image to Dell EMC customized VMware ESXi
7.0 A00 image is not supported.

Installation of ESXi 7.0 fails on PowerEdge modular
servers with BCM 5719 or 5720
Description:
ESXi 7.0 installation fails on certain server configuration with the following error message:
No compatible Network adapter found. Please consult the product's
Hardware Compatibility Guide (HCG) for a list of supported adapters.
The failure occurs only on Dell EMC PowerEdge modular servers that are supported on M1000e, VRTX,
and FX2 Chassis with BCM 5720 or 5719 NIC. This issue is due to ntg3 driver limitations.
