Introduction
Each ESXi image is a customization of the base VMware image of a particular version. Dell customization of the image includes:
• Modifying files to identify Dell and Dell support.
• Updating the ESXi image with the latest validated asynchronous drivers.
• Updating patches if it addresses a common issue for Dell systems.
Dell recommends to use the latest version of the Dell-customized ESXi image of your Dell system.
NOTE: The Dell-customized ESXi ISO image does not include Dell OpenManage Server Administrator. For information
about installing and using Dell OpenManage Server Administrator, see the Dell OpenManage documentation at
www.dell.com/openmanagemanuals.

Downloading Dell customized ESXi image
Go to vmware.com/support and see the Images and Drivers VMware pages for downloading the base ESXi image and the updated
vSphere Installation Bundle (VIBs) that are used for the creation of the ISOs. Your VMware administrator needs to log in for access to the
pages.
To download the Dell-customized ESXi ISO images:
1. Go to Dell.com/support.
2. Type your system Service Tag and click Submit.
3. On the Product Support page, click Drivers and Downloads.
4. On the Drivers and Downloads page, click the link Click here for other operating system.
5. From the Operating System drop-down menu, select the ESXi that you have to install.
6. You can view a list of categories, click Enterprise Solutions.
7. Download VMware ESXi 5.x.
