Report Templates View
The Report Templates View is located at the left of the Report Browser Dashboard.
Purpose
The Report Templates View provides a list of templates that can be used to create
reports that are scheduled to run against a particular object. The Module column in the
Report Templates View provides some information about the purpose of the report
template. For example, reports that report against VMware objects are listed as VMware
in the Module column.
For an example of how to use a report template to create a report, refer to the Scheduled
Reports View section below.
Scheduled Reports View
The Scheduled Reports View is located at the top right of the Report Browser
Dashboard.
Purpose
The Scheduled Reports View lists the reports that have been configured by an
administrator to run at regular intervals. It also provides you with an interface you can
use to create and schedule a report to run.
Scheduling Reports
The following is an example of how to schedule a report using the Report Browser
Dashboard. For more specific information on how to use the Report Browser Dashboard
to schedule and view reports, refer to the vFoglight User Guide.
To schedule a report:
1 Click the name of a report template (the Report: ESX Server template, for
example) in the Report Templates View to highlight it.
2 Click the Add Scheduled Report button (shown in Figure 21) at the top of the
Scheduled Reports View.
