Description of the View
NetMonitor Device_Status
Purpose
The NetMonitor Device_Status view displays whether the device is responding to
ICMP packets.
Data displayed
DeviceName. The name or IP address of the monitored network
device specified in the agent startup parameters.
Availability. The availability of the monitored device, based on the
number of packets echoed back.
PacketLoss. The percentage of packet loss. By default, vFoglight
sends five packets to the monitored network device. It expects each
one to be echoed back. Specify this information in the agent startup
parameters.
