display area.
Collection Rate
The collection rate, or sample frequency, is the number of seconds between the end of one collection
period and the start of the next.
To set the sample frequency:

In the Sample Frequency box, enter the sample frequency in seconds. The collection rate, or
sample frequency, is the number of seconds between the end of one collection period and the
start of the next. For example, enter 300 to set the interval between collections to five minutes.

Click Save.
Override Options
You can override settings that are not otherwise available by the NIC agent. Use the Override Options
section to set these overrides. Override Options contains the Override List, with a default value of
NICOverrideList. This name should be changed to hostOverrideList, where host is the host name, to
create a unique table for each host that is being monitored.
To set the override options:

Choose the override list that you want to update. To do that, click Override List and select a
list.

Click Edit.
The NICOverrideList dialog box appears.

Add an entry to the list by clicking Add new row.

In the dialog box that appears, in the NIC Name box, type the name of the NIC interface. For
example,
hme0. There is no default value.

Specify the duplex mode option by clicking Duplex Mode and selecting Full or Half. For
example, if the interface is in full duplex mode, select Full. The default value is Half.

Enable or disable monitoring as desired using the Monitor NIC options. To enable monitoring,
select True; to disable it, select False. The default is True.

In the Override Bandwidth (Mb/s) box, type the override bandwidth in Megabits per second.
For hosts that cannot determine the bandwidth of the interface, or if the value reported by the
operating system is wrong, you can enter the correct bandwidth here. For example, if the
