Viewing Source Data for the Host Monitor
Viewing Source Data for the Host Monitor
Data from existing views and tables is displayed in the Host Monitor dashboard. You can navigate to
the location of data used in the portlets and elements of the Host Monitor dashboard.
Tip Most of the data that is displayed on the Host Monitor dashboard is aggregated data.
Locating Data Bindings
A data binding displays a relationship between a data source and the object displayed. You can
determine to which data source the view is bound.
To locate data bindings:

Ensure that the navigation panel on the left is open.
To open the navigation panel, click the right-facing arrow on the left.

On the navigation panel, under Dashboards, choose Configuration > Definitions.

In the display area, in the Definitions pane, click Hosts.
The Module Contents pane immediately below the Definitions pane lists the views for the
Hosts module on the Views tab.

In the Module Contents pane, on the Views tab, click Host Monitor.
The Host Monitor tab appears to the right of the Definitions and Module Contents panes in
the display area, showing context details and data bindings for the Host Monitor dashboard.
In the Module Contents pane, on the Views tab, click any other views and review their data
bindings.
Viewing Data for a Host
For any element on the Host Monitor dashboard you can navigate to the related data located in the
Data tab.
To view data for a host:

Identify the data source used in the binding. For further information, refer to “Locating Data
Bindings” on page 37.
