The Host Monitor Dashboard
Elements
The Host Monitor dashboard contains visual elements that provide information about each portlet.
Elements can change color and their values can change as alarms are raised for the metrics they
contain. For more information see “Alerts” on page 35.
Tip By placing your cursor over any element, a tooltip displays the metric value for that element.
The following elements are displayed in the Host Monitor dashboard:
Element Description
Line Graph Line graphs compare data for multiple elements.
vFoglight gives you a sense of the historical performance of
the host server and its components by plotting certain key
metrics over time in line graphs.
Horizontal Bar
Chart
Displays data for multiple elements in a horizontal
arrangement.
Vertical Bar Chart Displays data for multiple elements in a vertical arrangement.
Container A cylindrical component that fills up as the value it measures
increases. Normally used to indicate file size or disk usage.
