This release contains 4.15 Linux kernel and ifupdown replaced with netplan.io, and the new subiquity installer set as the

default ISO image. The Ubuntu Server 18.04 Long Term Support (LTS) is a new LTS version, and the 4.15 kernel LTS line is

supported for five years.
