Power supply unit
The PowerEdge T20 includes a single 290W cabled auto-sensing power supply that provides power
to the T20 planar, the four internal hard drive bays and the two 2.5” internal drive bays. Table 15
details power supply specifications.

Thermal and acoustics
Optimized thermal management makes the PowerEdge T20 cool and quiet. Benefiting from a smart
cooling thermal control algorithm, the T20 offers both high performance and quiet acoustics across
a wide range of ambient temperatures (5°C ~ 35°C). Though the fan-induced sound is inevitable for
cooling purposes, it is controlled to be smooth and quiet. In a typical office environment (~45dBA),
the sound is almost unnoticeable.
