Dell OpenManage Systems Build and Update

Utility

Dell OpenManage Systems Build and Update Utility (SBUU) is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) based for deployment

and update of your Dell systems. It is available at support.dell.com and as part of the

Dell Systems Management Tools

and Documentation

DVD. It has modules such as Server OS Installation (SOI), Firmware Update, and Hardware

Configuration. The modules enable you to update BIOS and firmware in the pre-operating system environment, apply the

BIOS settings on the current system or on multiple systems, and install the operating system.

• Added support for the following operating systems:

– Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9 (32–bit and 64–bit)

– Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 (64–bit)

– VMware ESXi 5.1 U1

– VMware ESXi 5.0 U2

– Citrix XenServer 6.2

– Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Essentials (64–bit)

• Support for the following Network Interface Cards (NICs):

– Broadcom 57840S Quad Port 10G SFP+ Rack NDC (Supported only on Dell PowerEdge R620, R720, and

820)

– Broadcom 57840S-k Quad Port 10GbE Blade KR NDC (Supported only on Dell PowerEdge M820 and

M620)

• Software RAID (only PERC S110 controller) support for the installation of Windows Server 2012 (64–bit)
