incomplete. (DSET-223)
•
Detailed information of SATA drives may display as
Not Available
if the drives are connected directly to an
embedded non-RAID SATA controller. (DSET-299)
•
On Linux operating systems, a few DRAC5 information such as network settings may be missing on the Remote
Access page in DSET namespace report. (DSET-264)
•
When collecting a report using OMSA namespace, if two or more PowerVault MD12xx chasses are chained to a
controller, DSET may combine all member drives to a single Array Disks page. To relate the member disk with the
chassis, note that the
Name
column contains the controller:bus:drive address that match the address of the
enclosure. (DSET-308)
•
In DSET namespace report, Slot Info Page is displayed in tabular form. (DSET-253)
•
On Linux operating systems, Auto Upload during ZFP displays an error message, even if the upload is successful.
(DSET-309)
Limitations
•
On Linux operating system (RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.x and 6.x), if SFCB package rpm is installed using Dell
Systems Management Tools and Documentation DVD, then DSET 3.4 report collection fails.
Work Around:
Uninstall SFCB, re-install DSET 3.4 and then generate report.
•
On Linux machines if the root user is not configured
to use remote network (HTTP or HTTPS service) for
OpenPegasus, hardware and storage information is not
collected in the report.
•
DSET on Linux cannot collect a remote report through the OMSA namespace.
•
On Linux systems, if SFCB is installed using Open
Manage Server Administrator DVD and then DSET is installed, DSET
report collection fails. Restart SFCB service on the system and then generate the report.
•
Bios
->
Bios Setup
page will not be available when a normal user under root group attempts to collect Windows to
Linux remote DSET application report from OMSA namespace.
•
When only DSET Collector is installed, the report is not collected when using Start menu > Create Advanced DSET
Report or Create Basic DSET Report.
•
The firmware data collected is less on 9G, 10G, and a few 11G servers since Maser card is not available.
•
On ESX 4.1 Operating System, less firmware data is collected. To collect full firmware data, usbarbitrator service
should be stopped.
•
On Linux Operating system (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x(64 bit) or SuSE Linux Enterprise 10.x(64 bit), if Dell
Online Diagnostics (OLD) is installed before DSET application, then DSET application may get installed but is not
operational due to incompatible version of srvadmin-hapi*.rpm installed by OLD.
Work Around:
Uninstall the incompatible version of srvadmin-hapi and try to install DSET application again.
