Introduction
Dell System E-Support Tool (DSET) is a utility that collects configuration
and log data for various chassis hardware, storage, software, and operating
system components of a Dell PowerEdge server and consolidates the data into
a .zip file.
What’s New In This Release
• Separate DSET Collector option for remote report collection from the
following agents running on a remote server over the network:
– DSET Provider
– Dell OpenManage Server Administrator
– VMware ESX and ESXi
• Filtering sensitive data (Personally Identifiable Information (PII)) from
the report.
• Support for the following Dell 12th generation PowerEdge servers:
–M620
– R620
– T620
– R720
– R720xd
• Support for Dell PERC storage controllers in 12th generation PowerEdge

• Enhanced report GUI

• Enhanced command line parameters.
• Option to automatically upload the generated report to Dell Technical
Support.
• No support for 8th generation servers.
