1 Release summary This release extends the support of virtual assistant to Inspiron PCs in India and U.S. with a Basic service plan and when the SupportAssist language is set to English. This release also includes security and bug fixes. 4 Known issues Selected files and settings are automatically cleared Description If you rescan the drivers on the source PC after you select the files and settings that you want to migrate, the selections are automatically cleared. Workaround None. Version affected 3.5 and later Tracking number SACH-3072 Mismatch in the number of files that were not migrated Description When the migration fails or is canceled, the number of files that were not migrated is not displayed correctly.
5 Limitations The Carry-in Service Locator and Call us information are always displayed in the language of the country or region where the PC was purchased.
6 Install SupportAssist for Home PCs By default, SupportAssist is installed on all PCs shipped from the Dell factory. If SupportAssist is not installed on your PC, you can manually download and install SupportAssist. Prerequisites ● The PC must meet the minimum PC requirements for installing and using SupportAssist. See Minimum PC requirements on page 5. ● You must have administrator rights on the PC. Steps 1. Go to www.dell.com/supportassistforpcs. 2. Click Download Now. The SupportAssistInstaller.
