Managing single PC
SupportAssist for business PCs enables you to perform remote optimizations instantly on a system. You can also initiate remote
optimization tasks to run later. To view the status, run scans, and perform updates and optimizations on the system, go to the
My Assets page and click the Service Tag of the PC. For more information, see Actionable PC recommendations for a single PC
on page 27.
NOTE: You can view optimization tasks for all the systems, but can only perform the tasks on systems with an active
ProSupport Plus or ProSupport Flex for Client service plan.
NOTE: You require Device Management Administrator rights to perform remote optimizations instantly on a PC or initiate
remote optimization tasks to run later.

Actionable PC recommendations for a single PC
Perform remote optimizations instantly or by initiating an optimization task to run when the system is online.
To perform updates and optimizations on the system, go to the My Assets page and click the Service Tag of the PC.
Performing remote optimizations instantly
To perform the optimizations immediately, the system must be online, and the system user must be available for SupportAssist
to run the tasks.
You can perform the following remote optimizations on the system:
Scan and install driver updates that are available for the system (only for systems running SupportAssist for business PCs
version 2.1.1 and later).
Scan the system for hardware issues.
Clear temporary, redundant, and other unwanted files from the system.
Adjust the power settings, registry files, and memory allocations to fine-tune performance of the system.
Optimize network connectivity by adjusting the settings to have an efficient and reliable network.
Isolate, remove, and restore files that are corrupted by viruses and malware to keep systems secure.
When you run a remote optimization task, the task is queued to run when the system is online. To perform the remote
optimization tasks immediately, click SHARE LINK, provide the link to the system user, and inform the user to open the link in a
new web browser window. The browser window must be kept open while SupportAssist performs the optimizations.
After the remote optimization tasks are complete on the system, a confirmation message is displayed on each tile where the
optimization was performed. You can then inform the system user to close the browser window.
