View option displayed instead of Run option
Description On the SupportAssist user interface, in the Remove Viruses & Malware tile, the View option is displayed
instead of the Run option even when no virus or malware is detected.
Workaround Close and reopen SupportAssist.

SupportAssist fails to validate certificates
Description In certain environments, SupportAssist for business PCs may fail to validate certificates if Internet
Explorer proxy is used for Internet connectivity. Therefore, SupportAssist is unable to connect to Dell
backend successfully.
Workaround Configure the WinHTTP proxy for Internet connectivity.

Installation of SupportAssist for business PCs fails
Description
SupportAssist for business PCs installation may fail when the Dell Data Vault component is unable to
install its drivers.
Workaround Restart the PC and try installing SupportAssist again.

SupportAssist deployment package detected as harmful by Microsoft
Defender
Description
The SupportAssist deployment package that is downloaded from TechDirect is detected as harmful by
Microsoft Defender.
Workaround Temporarily turn off Windows Defender, download the SupportAssist deployment package from
TechDirect, and then turn on Microsoft Defender.

Description
While deploying SupportAssist for business PCs using deployment tools such as SCCM, an error message
is displayed stating that the latest version of the application is already installed.
Workaround Contact Dell Technologies technical support for assistance.
