Recommendations for your PCs
SupportAssist for business PCs enables you to review the recommendations for the systems. These recommendations are
displayed based on scheduled scans or the latest collection data that is received from the systems.
To optimize the systems, go to Services > Device Management > Get PC Recommendations.
NOTE: You require Device Management Administrator rights to review recommendations for your PCs and remotely
optimize them.
NOTE: You can view recommendations for all the systems in warranty, but can only remotely optimize systems with an
active ProSupport Plus or ProSupport Flex for Client service plan.
NOTE: If you have enabled Automatic Software Optimization for systems in SupportAssist configuration, recommendations
are not displayed for systems with an active ProSupport Plus or ProSupport Flex for Client service plan using that
configuration. Optimizations for such systems are automatically performed during scheduled scans.
The following table describes the details of recommendation types that are displayed on the Recommendations for your PCs
page:

Indicates the number of updates available for
your managed PCs. You can also filter for
security, critical, recommended, and optional
updates.
To review the updates available, click REVIEW
UPDATES. To update the drivers, perform the
following steps:
1. Click REVIEW PC LIST.
2. Select the systems on which you want to
update the drivers.
3. Click UPDATE.
NOTE: Before you update the BIOS
on BitLocker enabled systems, you must
disable BitLocker encryption on the system.
However, for systems running SupportAssist
for business PCs version 2.2 and later,
BitLocker is automatically suspended and
enabled after BIOS updates.
NOTE: You may have to restart the system
to complete the installation of certain drivers.
Scan Hardware Indicates the number of PCs that have not been
scanned in x number of days, where x denotes 30
days, 60 days, or 90 days.
To scan the system hardware, perform the
following steps:
1. Click REVIEW PC LIST.
2. Select the systems on which you want to run
the scan.
3. Click RUN.
Clean Files Indicates the disk space that is cleanable across
PCs. This data is available for 30 days, 60 days,
or 90 days.
To clean the disk space, perform the following
steps:
1. Click REVIEW PC LIST.
2. Select the systems on which you want to
clean the disk space.
3. Click RUN.
