Managed by plugin
Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise SupportAssist is a plugin to the Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise system management
console. For more information about the plugin, see the Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise SupportAssist User's Guide available
at https://www.dell.com/OpenManageEnterprise/ServicesPlugin .
If a device that is retrieved through an OpenManage Enterprise adapter and also managed by the plugin that is installed,
registered, and enabled in OpenManage Enterprise, the Managed by plugin filter is displayed. SupportAssist Enterprise checks
the status of the plugin during a manual or periodic sync.
NOTE: When you select the Managed by plugin filter, other filters are automatically disabled. The Managed by plugin
filter is not displayed if there are no devices that are managed by the plugin or the plugin is uninstalled, unregistered, or
disabled.
You will not be able to perform the following tasks on a device managed by the plugin:
● Install or upgrade OMSA
● Clear SEL logs
● Enable or disable maintenance mode
● Enable or disable device monitoring
● perform a collection
● Delete the device
● Assign a Credential Profile
●
Perform inventory validation
● Perform deep discovery
The following table describes the information that is displayed on the Devices page when you select the Managed by plugin
filter.

Column name Description
Name/IP Address Displays the name, hostname, or IP address depending on the information you have provided for the
device.
Model Model of the device, for example, PowerEdge M820.
Device overview pane
The device overview pane displays the details of a device and allows you to perform certain operations on that device. This pane
is displayed when you select only a single device in the Devices page. This pane is not displayed when you select a server that is
retrieved through an OpenManage Enterprise adapter and also managed by the OpenManage Enterprise SupportAssist plugin.
